Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. It is Islamic Audiobooks Central’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://islamicaudiobookscentral.com.

We may ask for personal information when we need it to provide a service to you.

We do not sell any of your personal information under any circumstances.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

In order to provide our services to you, we may use technologies from third parties such as Onesignal, Mailchimp and Paypal, who may collect your data and it will be subject to their own privacy policies.

You are free to refuse any request for your personal information from us or any third party service providers, to utilize anonymous/pseudonmous information or to utilise privacy masks with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services and products in a convenient way.

What we do to protect you

  1. We do not deploy privacy-invasive analytics like those from Google and Cloudflare, although some connections to them may be made by third-party services/integrations.
  2. We mitigate some privacy risks to you buy not sending your IP address to Mailchimp, not requiring your real name for newsletter signups and accepting email masks/aliases instead of your personal email address.
  3. We attempt to utilise privacy-respecting free and open source software (FOSS), solutions and services wherever possible.
  4. We are constantly looking for better privacy-respecting solutions to migrate to.

We are trialling a few open source, privacy respecting and minimalistic analytics solutions including Matomo which offers an easy opt-out:

The following is not part of the Privacy Policy but since you’re here, did you know that some of the worst violators of privacy include Google, Microsoft, Facebook/Whatsapp and Apple?

If you truly care about your privacy, consider gradually migrating to Open Source (FOSS), privacy-respecting alternatives. Here are just two simple steps that we recommend to start off on your privacy journey:

  1. Replace your web browser with an Open Source, privacy respecting one like Brave or Firefox — but tweak the options to suit your needs.
  2. Avoid dependence on Big Tech search engines that harvest your data like Google and Microsoft Bing. If you absolutely cannot live without Google Search, switch to Startpage — it gives Google search results but without Google’s tracking and malware-ridden ads.

That’s it! These two easy steps could be a good improvement and a great start for most people.
